Recap

Blue Jays 3, Red Sox 2: Adam Lind led off the ninth inning with a tiebreaking home run as Toronto shaded host Boston.

Lind drilled a 2-2 pitch from temporary Boston closer Junichi Tazawa (2-2) over the center-field fence for his second home run of the season. Lind finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored as the Blue Jays halted a three-game losing skid.

Lind's blast made a winner out of Darren Oliver (2-1), who surrendered the tying run in the eighth but recovered to strike out the side. Casey Janssen worked around a leadoff double in the ninth for his 10th save.

Toronto opened the scoring in the third inning, as Colby Rasmus drew a leadoff walk, advanced on Munenori Kawasaki's sacrifice and scored on Melky Cabrera's single to left-center field. The Blue Jays doubled the lead an inning later after Lind led off with a single and scored on Rasmus' one-out single to right.

The Red Sox finally struck in the eighth as David Ross drew a leadoff walk that chased Toronto starter Mark Buehrle and Jacoby Ellsbury followed with a triple to the center-field wall off Oliver. Boston tied the game when Kawasaki failed to come up with Dustin Pedroia's ground ball to short, allowing Ellsbury to score without a throw.
