Recap

Orioles 6, Twins 0: Chris Davis belted his 11th homer and knocked in three runs while Wei-Yin Chen pitched five shutout innings before leaving with an injury as visiting Baltimore rolled over Minnesota.

Chen (3-3) suffered a right oblique strain to end his day after allowing five hits, no walks and striking out three. Manny Machado recorded three hits while Nick Markakis and J.J. Hardy each notched a pair for Baltimore, which scored 20 runs to win two of three in the series.

Joe Mauer had a double and a single for the Twins, who had one hit in each of the first eight innings. Minnesota starter Scott Diamond (3-3) gave up six runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings, surrendering three homers in a game for the first in his career.

Davis belted his two-run blast to center field, estimated at 442 feet, with two outs to open the scoring in the first. Backup catcher Chris Snyder came through with a two-out RBI single in the second and Adam Jones drilled a line-drive homer to left field in the third.

Chen, who has won three of his last four decisions, kept it right there and Davis added an RBI groundout in the fifth for a 5-0 advantage. Steve Pearce followed with his second homer in the sixth, a blast over the left-center field wall for a 6-0 lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Baltimore earned its 14th road victory - most in the American League. … Mauer’s single in the fourth extended his hitting streak to a season-high 11 games. … Baltimore recalled LHP Mike Belfiore from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday after sending Saturday’s starter, Steve Johnson, back down.
