Recap

Dodgers 7, Orioles 4: Mark Ellis drove in three runs and visiting Los Angeles rallied to snap its six-game losing streak.

Adam Jones belted a solo homer to give Baltimore a 4-1 lead in the third before Ellis sparked the Dodgers’ four-run fifth inning with a two-run single off Jake Arrieta (1-1). Los Angeles added a run in the seventh when Matt Kemp scored from second on A.J. Ellis’ two-out single and one more in the ninth on Jerry Hairston Jr.’s first RBI of the season.

J.P. Howell (1-0) recorded one out in the fifth for the win and Brandon League earned his fifth save for the Dodgers, who were outscored 36-13 during their losing streak. Kemp had three hits and is batting .235 after going 6-for-13 in the three-game series.

The Orioles scored three runs in the first off Stephen Fife, who allowed four runs over 4 2/3 innings after scheduled starter Chad Billingsley was placed on the disabled list with pain in his right elbow. Nick Markakis began the scoring with an RBI single before J.J. Hardy drove in two runs with a two-out single.

Chris Davis had three hits and Markakis and Jones added two apiece for Baltimore, which swept a split-doubleheader against the Dodgers on Saturday. Arrieta gave up five runs on two hits with five walks over four-plus innings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Billingsley is the Dodgers’ third starting pitcher to land on the disabled list in nine days, following RHP Zack Greinke and LHP Chris Capuano. … Davis is 10-for-19 in his last five games. … The Dodgers made a minor change to their batting order, with Adrian Gonzalez batting third and Kemp moving to the cleanup spot.
