Recap

Rays 6, Orioles 2: James Loney went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and Matt Moore pitched effectively into the seventh inning as visiting Tampa Bay evened the series at a game apiece.

Kelly Johnson and Shelley Duncan hit solo home runs for the Rays, who won for only the second time in nine games.

Both homers came against Orioles starter Chris Tillman (0-1), who surrendered four runs on six hits in five innings. Tillman has not lasted six innings in any of his three starts this season.

Moore (3-0) allowed his first runs of the season, but limited the Orioles to two runs on five hits over 6 2/3 innings and rang up seven strikeouts.

Baltimore's runs came on Adam Jones' homer in the third, which initially was ruled a double but was overturned after a review showed it cleared the fence in left-center before bouncing back into play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Rays have hit five home runs in the past two games after hitting five in the previous 12. … Tillman dropped to 1-4 in eight starts against the Rays. … Tampa Bay closer Fernando Rodney pitched a scoreless ninth inning in a non-save situation for his first work since April 10.
