Rays 8, Orioles 7: Matt Joyce clubbed a walk-off home run to lead off the ninth inning as Tampa Bay erased a four-run deficit to pick up its first win.
Shelley Duncan belted a three-run homer and Ben Zobrist had a pair of RBI singles as the Rays bounced back from a 7-4 loss to Baltimore in Tuesday's season opener.
Chris Davis went 4-for-4 with a three-run homer and four RBIs and Brian Roberts had two hits for the Orioles, including a run-scoring double in the ninth to tie it at 7-7.
Tampa Bay closer Fernando Rodney (1-0) earned the win despite blowing a one-run lead in the ninth. Rays starter Jeremy Hellickson allowed five runs on eight hits in 6 1/3 innings. Tommy Hunter (0-1) surrendered Joyce's game-winning blast.
Orioles left-hander Wei-Yin Chen permitted two runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings, but the bullpen couldn't hold the lead as Duncan's three-run shot tied it 4-4 in the sixth before the Rays went ahead with three runs in the seventh.
GAME NOTEBOOK: James Loney had a pinch-hit, RBI double in the seventh for the Rays, who won only twice last year when an opponent scored at least seven runs. ... Davis belted a three-run homer for the second straight day for Baltimore, which has scored 12 of its 14 runs with two outs. ... Tampa Bay's Roberto Hernandez will oppose Miguel Gonzalez in Thursday's series finale.
