Recap

Rangers 5, Giants 0: Matt Harrison pitched a five-hit shutout and Josh Hamilton and Ian Kinsler homered as Texas won in San Francisco for the first time in nearly 14 years.

Harrison (8-3) recorded his third career shutout and first in three years to win his fourth straight start and tie for the American League lead in victories.

Craig Gentry went 5-for-5 with two RBIs as Texas won for the first time in 12 games at AT&T Park and earned its first victory in San Francisco since June 26, 1998.

Hamilton belted his major league-leading 22nd homer and Kinsler had two hits and two RBIs in the first matchup between the Rangers and Giants since the 2010 World Series.

Giants starter Barry Zito (5-3) was charged with all four runs on nine hits in six innings to drop to 18-6 lifetime against the Rangers. It was just San Francisco's third loss in the last 12 games.

Kinsler led off the game with a home run to supply Harrison with the only offense he would need. Nelson Cruz doubled in the fourth and scored on Gentry's single, and Hamilton broke an eight-game homerless drought in the fifth to make it 3-0.
