Recap

Rockies 11, Rangers 7: Wil Nieves hit a two-run homer and was one of four players to drive in two runs as visiting Colorado snapped Texas' seven-game win streak.

Michael Cuddyer had a two-run double and Tyler Colvin and Chris Nelson each had two-run singles as the Rockies built an 11-1 lead before holding on for only their third win in 16 games.

Dexter Fowler homered and had three hits to pace a 17-hit attack for Colorado, which got at least one hit from each player in the lineup,

Nelson Cruz clubbed a pair of home runs and drove in four runs and Adrian Beltre added three hits and an RBI for the Rangers, who dropped to 13-4 in interleague play.

Rex Brothers (3-2) earned the victory with two innings of scoreless relief. Rockies starter Josh Outman was allowed to throw 92 pitches - 17 more than his limit - but was yanked after he couldn't get the final out in Texas' six-run fifth.

Rangers starter Colby Lewis (6-6) was rocked for eight runs and 11 hits in four innings. He had allowed only eight runs in four previous starts this month.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rangers CF Craig Gentry left the game prior to the fourth inning after aggravating an injury to his right ankle. He sprained the ankle in Friday's win. ... The fifth-inning homers by Nieves and Fowler marked the fourth time the Rockies have hit back-to-back shots this season. Nieves' blast was his first since Sept. 1, 2010, when he was with Washington. ... Rangers LF Josh Hamilton went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts. He has fanned seven times in the first two games of the series. Beltre has seven multi-hit games in his last nine.
