Rockies 2, Diamondbacks 1: DJ LeMahieu snapped a fourth-inning tie with an RBI single as visiting Colorado edged Arizona in the season finale for both National League West teams.
Jordan Pacheco and Jonathan Herrera each collected three hits for the Rockies, who won two of their final three games away from home following a nine-game road losing streak.
With two on and no outs in the fourth, Charlie Blackmon scored on a throwing error by Diamondbacks third baseman Chris Johnson to tie the game. Ian Kennedy (15-12) struck out the next two batters, but LeMahieu blooped a single into shallow right field to plate Pacheco and put Colorado ahead.
Jeff Francis (6-7) posted his first win in seven starts, allowing one run and five hits over five innings. Five relievers bridged the gap to Matt Belisle, who recorded the final out for his third save.
A.J. Pollock belted a solo homer and Justin Upton registered three of the seven hits by the Diamondbacks, who lost five of their final eight contests.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Colorado RF Andrew Brown was ejected by home plate umpire Mark Ripperger for arguing after striking out in the eighth inning. ... Rockies C Wilin Rosario led all NL rookies with 28 home runs and 71 RBIs. His 28 blasts also was tops among major-league catchers. ... Kennedy had his personal four-game winning streak snapped despite yielding two unearned runs and six hits in seven innings. He fanned eight without a walk, ending the season with 33 strikeouts over 27 frames in four starts against Colorado.
