Rangers 3, Mariners 1:
Matt Harrison allowed one run in seven-plus innings and visiting Texas snapped Seattle's four-game winning streak.

Harrison (5-3) struck out and gave up seven hits to outduel Hector Noesi and improve to 7-1 lifetime against the Mariners.

Elvis Andrus had a two-run triple and Josh Hamilton added an RBI double in a three-run third inning as Texas won for only the fourth time in nine games.

Mike Adams came on in relief of Harrison and worked out of a two-on, no-out jam in the eighth before Joe Nathan collected his 10th save with a perfect ninth.

Noesi (2-5) struck out a career-high seven and was outstanding aside from the third inning, giving up three runs on three hits in a season high-tying eight innings. He set down 10 straight at one point and retired 16 of the last 17 batters he faced.

Justin Smoak accounted for Seattle's lone run with a two-out RBI single in the first inning.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Ichiro Suzuki had a pair of hits to surpass George Brett for the most career hits (292) against the Rangers since the franchise moved to Texas. He also extended his hitting streak to five games. ... Hamilton drove in his major league-leading 48th run with his first extra-base hit in nine games. ...
