Recap

Mariners 6, Rockies 4
: Jesus Montero and Justin Smoak each homered and drove in two as visiting Seattle completed a three-game sweep at Colorado.

Dustin Ackley stole home and Mike Carp added a solo home run for the Mariners, who outscored the Rockies 20-7 in the series.

Seattle wasted little time jumping on Jeremy Guthrie (2-2), grabbing the lead in the first as Ackley led off with a double and worked his way to third with two outs. Kyle Seager walked and broke for second, with Ackley heading home on the delayed steal.

Smoak tacked on an RBI single in the first and Seattle broke it open during a third as Montero and Smoak went back-to-back with two outs. It was the sixth blast for Montero and fifth for Smoak.

Guthrie ended up charged with six runs and seven hits in six innings.

Blake Beavan (2-4) was good enough to win for the Mariners, striking out seven and allowing five runs on seven hits in five innings.

The Rockies made it interesting with two runs in the ninth but Seattle was able to close it out.
