Angels 5, Dodgers 3: Mark Trumbo snapped a tie with an RBI single in the seventh inning as the Angels secured their sixth consecutive series win over the visiting Dodgers.

Peter Bourjos belted a two-run homer for the Angels, who took two of three in the latest installment of the Freeway Series after doing the same at Dodger Stadium last week.

With the contest tied, Albert Pujols ignited the winning rally by drawing a two-out walk from Josh Lindblom (2-2). After Kendrys Morales was hit by a pitch, Trumbo singled to shallow left-center field to plate Pujols with the go-ahead run.

Howie Kendrick followed with a base hit to center that scored Morales for a 5-3 lead.

The rally made a winner of Scott Downs (1-0), who tossed a scoreless inning. Ernesto Frieri recorded the final four outs for his ninth save in as many opportunities.

The Dodgers built a 2-0 lead on an RBI single by former Angel Bobby Abreu in the first inning and Dee Gordon's run-scoring groundout in the second. The Angels quickly knotted the contest as Erick Aybar drew a one-out walk in the bottom of the frame and Bourjos followed with his second home run of the year.

Pujols put the Angels ahead in the fifth with an RBI single, but Adam Kennedy plated fellow former Angel Juan Rivera with a sacrifice fly in the sixth to make it 3-3.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Angels manager Mike Scioscia was ejected by third base umpire Dan Iassogna in the bottom of the fifth inning for arguing an out call on Pujols, who was attempting to go from first to third on Morales' single. ... Dodgers OF Andre Ethier went 6-for-11 (.545) in the three-game series. ... Angels RHP Jerome Williams, who is on the disabled list after passing out from shortness of breath last Monday, is expected to throw a simulated game this week.
