Recap

Brewers 6, Pirates 5: Aramis Ramirez snapped a tie with a three-run double in the seventh inning as Milwaukee won its fourth in a row and handed Pittsburgh its eighth loss in its past 11 games.

Ramirez doubled with the bases loaded and two outs in the seventh off Pittsburgh reliever Jared Hughes. Pirates center fielder Andrew McCutchen slid into the wall in right-center trying to make the catch. After trainers checked him out, McCutchen stayed in the game.

Milwaukee starter Mike Fiers (7-6) went 6 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on five hits and matching his career high with 10 strikeouts. Pittsburgh starter Wandy Rodriguez (8-13) allowed three runs on six hits in 6 2/3 innings.

John Axford walked the first two hitters in the ninth and allowed two runs before being removed with two outs. Kameron Loe got the final out for his second save.

Hughes relieved Rodriguez with two outs and one on in the seventh. He hit Rickie Weeks and walked Ryan Braun to load the bases. Ramirez cleared the bases with his blast to the base of the right-center field wall, giving the Brewers a 5-2 advantage.

Down 2-0, the Pirates tied the game in the fifth. McCutchen lined a single to left, scoring Jose Tabata and Travis Snider to knot the score.
