Recap

Diamondbacks 4, Brewers 3: Arizona used a three-run sixth to earn its first series win over the Brewers in Phoenix since July 2006.

The D-Backs won for just the seventh time in their last 21 home games against Milwaukee.

Trailing 3-1 in the sixth, the D-Backs got RBI singles by Jason Kubel, Ryan Roberts and Henry Blanco. First baseman Taylor Green’s error on a grounder extended the inning.

Paul Goldschmidt’s solo homer had put Arizona on top 1-0 in the fourth, but Cody Ransom and Corey Hart delivered RBI singles an inning later to give Milwaukee the lead. Green extended Milwaukee’s lead to 3-1 with an RBI hit in the sixth.

Arizona's Daniel Hudson, returning from a right shoulder impingement, made his first start in 5 ½ weeks. He allowed two runs over five innings. Bryan Shaw (1-2) got the win, and J.J. Putz got his 11th save in 14 chances.

Brewers starter Randy Wolf, who entered with the fifth-worst ERA in the majors, shut down the D-Backs until tiring in the sixth. He allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Brewers slugger Ryan Braun has hit in eight of his last nine games at Chase Field after going 1-for-3 with a walk. ... D-Backs second baseman Aaron Hill went 3-for-4 with a run scored.
