Giants 3, Astros 2: Buster Posey drove in a pair of runs, including the game-winner in the fifth inning, as San Francisco held on to finish a three-game sweep of Houston.

Pablo Sandoval led off the bottom of the fifth with a double to left field against Bud Norris (5-7) before Posey knocked a 1-2 pitch into center field to plate what would prove to be the final run of the game.

Santiago Casilla, the fourth San Francisco reliever, retired the final two hitters to close it out for Matt Cain (10-3), who had pitched a perfect game in his last outing against Houston on June 13.

Cain lasted 6 1/3 innings on Sunday, allowing two runs on five hits. He struck out six and walked one. The Astros put runners on the corners against Cain with one out in the seventh inning, but Jeremy Affeldt came on to retire the last two hitters and snuff out the rally.

The Giants took a 2-0 lead in the first inning when Posey singled in a run and Brandon Belt drew a bases-loaded walk against Norris. The Astros got on the board thanks to an error by Cain in the third inning, then pulled even in the fourth on Chris Johnson’s RBI double.

Norris gave up just five hits in his six innings of work, but he hurt himself by issuing six walks, the most he has issued in a game since 2010.

GAME NOTEBOOK: San Francisco was playing a man short on Sunday — OF Melky Cabrera is expected to rejoin the club Tuesday after leaving for the birth of his child ... Norris has issued four bases-loaded walks in his career ... Houston hitters came into the game a combined 4-for-50 against Cain ... The Astros placed SS Jed Lowrie on the 15-day disabled list Sunday. Lowrie sprained his ankle and suffered nerve damage in a collision during Saturday’s game.
