Recap

Astros 6, Reds 4: Wandy Rodriguez pitched six solid innings to snap a four-game losing streak at Cincinnati and Jose Altuve drove in two runs with a triple and double.

Rodriguez (2-2) allowed two runs, six hits and struck out six as the Astros raced to a 6-0 lead and won for only the sixth time in their last 23 games in Cincinnati.

Mike Leake (0-3) allowed six runs (three earned) and seven hits in 3 2/3 innings to match the shortest outing of his career.

Cincinnati's Jay Bruce and Devin Mesoraco hit back-to-back homers with one out in the ninth off Fernando Abad before Brett Myers recorded the final two outs for his fourth save in four chances.

The Astros scored twice in the third. Bruce dove but could not come up with Altuve's two-out liner to right, which rolled all the way to the wall for an RBI triple. J.D. Martinez hit the next pitch into center for a single.

Houston broke it open with four runs in the fourth, aided by second baseman Brandon Phillips' one-out error. Chris Johnson and Altuve had RBI doubles while Jordan Shafer provided a run-scoring single.

Cincinnati scored single runs in the fifth and sixth on Todd Frazier's pinch hit RBI triple and Joey Votto's run-scoring double.
