Jose Tabata had two hits and an RBI for the Pirates, who climbed within 2 1/2 games of idle St. Louis for the second wild-card spot in the National League.
Correia (11-9) walked one and struck out six over seven innings, allowing only a pair of singles by Darwin Barney. Jason Grilli pitched a perfect eighth and Joel Hanrahan worked around a walk in the ninth for his 36th save in 39 opportunities.
Clint Barmes was hit by a pitch leading off the third inning and raced to third base on Brock Holt's single. After Travis Wood (6-12) struck out Correia, Marte hit a rope down the left-field line to plate two runs. Tabata followed with an RBI double to make it 3-0.
Wood yielded three runs and four hits in 5 2/3 innings, walking one and striking out nine.
