Recap

Rangers 8, Twins 0:
Adrian Beltre hit for the cycle and Matt Harrison didn't allow a hit for 6 2/3 innings as host Texas continued its dominance of Minnesota.

Beltre tripled in the first inning, doubled in the fourth, homered in the fifth and singled in the seventh to complete his second career cycle and the fourth in the majors this season.

The seventh player in Rangers' franchise history to hit for the cycle, Beltre also recorded at least three hits in three straight games for the first time in his career. He has five homers in his last three contests as the Rangers improved to 7-1 against the Twins in 2012.

Harrison (15-7) reached a career high in wins. He allowed two hits, walked two and struck out five in his third straight victory over the Twins.

Ian Kinsler went 2-for-4 with a two-run single for Texas, which has won eight of its last 10 at home.

Left fielder David Murphy kept Harrison's no-hitter intact with a diving catch of Ryan Doumit's line drive for the second out in the seventh, one batter before Trevor Plouffe served a line-drive single to left.

Twins starter Samuel Deduno (4-2) allowed seven runs and 11 hits in five innings as Minnesota lost its fourth straight and 13th in its last 15 games.

Beltre, who went deep only once in 29 games before his recent surge, put Texas on the board with an RBI triple in the first. He capped the Rangers' five-run second inning with an RBI double and belted a solo shot - his 24th - in the fifth to make it 7-0.
