Athletics 9, Twins 4: Yoenis Cespedes went 4-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs as visiting Oakland completed a three-game sweep.
Jonny Gomes, Chris Carter and Seth Smith also went deep for the Athletics, who have won nine of their last 10 contests.
Oakland belted four homers for the second straight day as it outscored Minnesota 24-10 in the series. Gomes began the power display in this one with a two-run shot in the second inning that gave the Athletics a 4-1 lead.
Cespedes launched a solo shot two batters later and Carter followed with his fifth of the season. Cespedes feasted on Twins pitching, going 8-for-14 with two homers and six RBIs in the series.
Jarrod Parker (6-4) benefited from the offensive outburst, winning for the fourth time in five decisions despite allowing four runs and nine hits over six innings.
Brian Duensing (1-6) lasted only two frames as he was tagged for six runs and seven hits. The left-hander has failed to make it through five innings in each of his four starts this year, surrendering 15 runs over 13 1/3 frames.
Ryan Doumit and Brian Dozier each had two hits and an RBI for the Twins, who have lost seven of eight.
