With Weaver and Gavin Floyd (10-11) locked in a pitchers' duel through five innings, Mike Trout drew a leadoff walk in the sixth and moved to third on Torii Hunter's single before Pujols brought them both home with a double. Morales then deposited Floyd's 2-1 offering into the seats in right-center field for his 22nd blast and a 4-0 lead.
Weaver (19-4) allowed one run and five hits in 6 1/3 innings with one walk and four strikeouts. The right-hander, who has yielded a total of four runs over 20 1/3 frames while winning his last three starts, improved to 7-2 with a 1.59 ERA in 10 career outings against Chicago.
