White Sox 6, Cardinals 1:
Adam Dunn and A.J. Pierzynski homered during a four-run eighth inning as Chicago pulled away to win its eighth straight road game.

White Sox rookie Jose Quintana (2-1) allowed one run on 10 hits and struck out four over 5 1/3 innings in his fourth career start.

Orlando Hudson gave Chicago a 2-0 lead in the second inning with a two-run triple off Adam Wainwright (5-7), who allowed two runs and five hits while striking out seven in seven innings.

The Cardinals cut into the lead in the sixth when Matt Holliday hit a leadoff double and scored on Allen Craig’s single. But Tyler Greene hit into one of St. Louis' three double plays to end the inning.

After Gordon Beckham singled in a run in the eighth, Dunn blasted his 21st homer off Marc Rzepczynski. Three batters later, Pierzynski extended Chicago’s lead with a two-run blast off Mitchell Boggs.

The White Sox, who are a major-league best 18-9 on the road, improved to 21-4 in their last 25 interleague road games. Chicago has won 17 of its last 23 overall.
 
Craig’s run-scoring single gave him 23 RBIs in 27 games for the Cardinals, who have lost nine of their last 13 contests.
