Recap

Phillies 3, Rockies 2: Pinch hitter Nate Schierholtz drove in the winning run with a one-out single in the ninth inning to give host Philadelphia a walk-off victory in the series opener.

Schierholtz's first hit in exactly one month off Will Harris (1-1) plated Jimmy Rollins with the decisive run as the Phillies won for the 10th time in 14 games.

Philadelphia also got a huge two-run double from pinch hitter Laynce Nix in the seventh inning to tie the game at 2-2.

Closer Jonathan Papelbon (4-6) pitched a scoreless ninth for the victory as the Phillies handed the Rockies their fourth loss in five games.

Cliff Lee went 6 1/3 innings, giving up two runs on eight hits. He struck out seven and walked none but was denied in his bid to win three straight starts for the first time this year.

Colorado starter Jeff Francis struck out a season-high seven and allowed six hits in 5 2/3 scoreless innings, but the bullpen gave away the two-run lead in the seventh.

The Rockies jumped on Lee for two runs in the first inning when Carlos Gonzalez doubled home Josh Rutledge and scored on Wilin Rosario's single.

The lead held up until the seventh, when Nix hammered a two-out, bases-loaded double off Josh Roenicke to pull the Phillies even.
