Recap

Dodgers 8, Phillies 3:
Aaron Harang tossed six solid innings for his 100th career win and the Dodgers completed their first-ever four-game road sweep of the Phillies, who lost their sixth straight game.

Harang (5-3) gave up three runs over six innings and the Dodgers scored four runs in the top of the ninth to pull away from the struggling Phillies.

Philadelphia took an early lead with three runs in the third, but Cole Hamels (8-3) ran into trouble in the sixth when the Dodgers took the lead by scoring three runs on four singles and a walk.

Hamels, who lost for the first time in six career regular-season starts against Los Angeles, allowed four runs (three earned) with six strikeouts over six innings.

Mike Fontenot had three hits for the Phillies, who committed a season-high four errors and completed a 1-6 homestand.

Los Angeles, which won the first three games in the series by one run, removed any drama from the ninth inning with four runs off Chad Qualls, capped by Jerry Hairston Jr.’s RBI single.

The Dodgers recorded their first four-game sweep of the Phillies since Aug. 11-14, 2008, and it’s their first road sweep of Philadelphia since May 24-26, 1946, when the team was based in Brooklyn.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Phillies recalled IF Michael Martinez from Triple-A Lehigh Valley after 2B Freddy Galvis (back) was placed on the 15-day disabled list. … Harang has won four of his last five decisions. … Phillies 3B Placido Polanco (finger) missed his second straight game. ... Dodgers reliever Shawn Tolleson made his major league debut in the ninth inning.
