Recap

Dodgers 2, Phillies 1:
Elian Herrera smashed a two-run double in the eighth inning to keep Cliff Lee winless as visiting Los Angeles rallied to beat Philadelphia.

Chad Billingsley (3-4) allowed one run and six hits in seven innings to snap a nine-start victory drought as the Dodgers beat the Phillies for the second straight night.

Lee (0-3) allowed two hits over the first seven innings before faltering in the eighth. He gave up four hits in the inning and looked like he might escape when two different Dodgers were thrown out at third.

Herrera changed that by drilling a hanging curveball off the left-field wall to drive home former Phillie Bobby Abreu and Dee Gordon, and end Lee’s scoreless inning streak against Los Angeles at 21 2/3 innings.

Josh Lindblom pitched the eighth and Kenley Jansen finished up for his eighth save.

Lee struck out a season-high 12 and fanned five in a row at one point. He gave up two runs and six hits and walked one in 7 2/3 innings.

Philadelphia’s lone run came in the first when Jimmy Rollins led off with a double and scored on Hunter Pence’s one-out single to left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Even with the two eighth-inning runs against him, Lee has allowed only three career runs against the Dodgers in four starts. … The game-winning double was Herrera’s fifth extra-base hit in 20 major-league games. … A second opinion performed on Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay confirmed the original diagnosis of a strained pitching shoulder. … Tony Gwynn was back in the Los Angeles lineup after sitting out Monday with hamstring and dehydration issues.
