Rockies 5, Mets 2:
Wilin Rosario slammed a tiebreaking homer in the seventh inning to help host Colorado defeat New York for the third consecutive day.

Rosario also had a sacrifice fly in the opening inning as the Rockies won their fourth consecutive game while sending the Mets to their fourth straight defeat.

The Colorado catcher sent a high fastball from reliever Ramon Ramirez (2-3) over the left-field fence to give the Rockies a 2-1 lead. DJ LeMahieu squeezed home Tyler Colvin later in the seventh to make it a two-run game.

Ramirez replaced rookie phenom Matt Harvey, who struck out nine in six innings. Harvey allowed one run and three hits but wasn’t involved in the decision as New York scored two or fewer runs for the fifth straight contest while falling 10 games below .500.

Carlos Torres (2-1) pitched 2 2/3 innings of one-hit relief for Colorado and was charged with a run when Matt Reynolds allowed a run-scoring single to Ike Davis in the eighth.

Will Harris struck out Jordany Valdespin to end the frame and Rafael Betancourt worked out of a ninth-inning jam for his 25th save in 30 chances.

Colorado, which has won 11 of its last 16 games, recorded two ninth-inning insurance runs on Chris Nelson’s single and Josh Rutledge’s double.

New York scored in the top of the first when Ruben Tejada doubled, moved to third on an infield out and scored on Scott Hairston’s sacrifice fly.

Colorado tied the score in the fourth as Jonathan Herrera and Dexter Fowler started the inning with singles, with Herrera scoring on the sacrifice fly by Rosario.

Rockies starter Jeff Francis gave up one run and five hits in five innings.
