Recap

Mets 9, Reds 4: Ronny Cedeno belted a three-run home run to cap a five-run eighth inning and give host New York a split of the two-game series.

David Wright doubled in the go-ahead run off reliever Logan Ondrusek (3-1) in the eighth and reached base in all five at-bats as the Mets rallied from a 4-0 deficit to snap a two-game losing streak.

Lucas Duda had a two-run double and Justin Turner had two RBIs on a single and sacrifice fly for the Mets, who got the tying and winning runs off two relievers - Aroldis Chapman and Ondrusek - that had yet to give up a run this season.

Cedeno's blast was his first since he went deep for Pittsburgh on May 28, 2011, and doubled his RBI total for the season.

Joey Votto belted a solo homer and Ryan Hanigan added an RBI double in a three-run fifth inning to stake the Reds to a 4-0 lead.

New York chipped away at the deficit on Duda's two-run double in the fifth and sacrifice flies by Mike Baxter in the sixth and Turner in the seventh.

Bobby Parnell (1-0) pitched a scoreless eighth for the win. Mets knuckleballer R.A. Dickey lasted six innings, striking out a season-high eight and giving up four runs on five hits.
