Marlins 3, Phillies 2: Giancarlo Stanton homered and drove in two runs to back seven strong innings from Mark Buehrle as host Miami sent Philadelphia to its fourth straight defeat.

Buehrle (7-8) won his second straight start, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out seven and walking one.

Mike Dunn pitched a scoreless eighth before Heath Bell closed it out for his 16th save as the Marlins finished June with an 8-18 record. Four of the wins came against the Phillies.

Left-hander Cole Hamels (10-4) went seven innings for the Phillies, yielding three runs on seven hits to fall to 0-3 against the Marlins this season.

Hunter Pence went 3-for-4 with a home run and Shane Victorino plated a run with a sacrifice fly for Philadelphia.

Stanton put the Marlins on the board with his 18th homer in the first inning and singled home a run in the third for a 2-1 lead.

Justin Ruggiano's sacrifice fly in the fifth made it 3-1, but Pence's 16th homer in the seventh cut the deficit to 3-2.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Phillies traded 1B Jim Thome to Baltimore after Saturday's game. Philadelphia received minor league pitcher Kyle Simon and C Gabriel Lino in the deal. ... The Marlins are expected to place reliever Edward Mujica on the 15-day disabled list. Mujica suffered a fractured right pinkie toe when he was hit by a line drive in Friday's game. He is wearing a boot and is expected to miss two weeks. ... Hamels lost for the first time in six decisions away from home. ... Miami Heat forward Shane Battier threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
