Indians 2, Marlins 0: Jeanmar Gomez threw 6 1/3 innings of three-hit ball and Asdrubal Cabrera hit a home run to lead Cleveland in the second game of an interleague series at Progressive Field.
Gomez (3-2) has not allowed an earned run in 13 1/3 innings over his past two starts - both wins. He struck out four and walked two in his first interleague game.
Three Cleveland relievers combined for 2 2/3 perfect innings with Chris Perez striking out the side in the ninth for his 13th save.
