Recap
Mets 9, Marlins 3: David Wright went 4-for-6 with a homer and three RBIs and R.A. Dickey pitched six solid innings as visiting New York evened the series.
Andres Torres singled in a pair and Daniel Murphy added an RBI and two runs scored for the Mets, who have won six of seven.
Jose Reyes went 4-for-5 for Miami, improving to 6-for-21 (.286) in five games against his former team.
Wright kicked off the scoring in the first, following back-to-back walks to lead off the game with an RBI single to left off Ricky Nolasco.
The Marlins got that run back in the second but Wright put New York on top for good in the third, driving a 1-0 fastball to the opposite field for a solo homer - his fourth of the season.
Kirk Nieuwenhuis drove in a run in the fourth and Dickey helped himself the painful way in the fifth, pushing one across by drawing a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch. Torres followed with his two-run single, giving the Mets a 6-1 advantage.
Dickey (5-1) limited the Marlins to two runs on nine hits. The knuckleballer walked one and did not record a strikeout.
Nolasco (4-1) was lifted after 4 2/3 and charged with six runs on nine hits. The burly right-hander had not allowed more than three earned runs in any of his previous six outings.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Mets left-hander Jon Niese will go up against Marlins right-hander Carlos Zambrano in Sunday’s rubber game. … Mets OF Mike Baxter picked up his seventh pinch hit of the season with a leadoff double to center in the ninth. … Miami lost for only the second time in its last 11 games.
