Recap

Braves 4, Marlins 3:
Jason Heyward had two RBIs, including the tiebreaking single in the seventh, as visiting Atlanta snapped a three-game losing skid.

Tim Hudson (9-4) gave up three runs and five hits in seven innings and retired the final 16 batters he faced to win for the fifth time in six decisions. The loss was Miami's sixth in seven games.

Eric O’Flaherty worked the eighth inning and Craig Kimbrel pitched a perfect ninth for his 29th save in 31 opportunities.

Martin Prado led off the Atlanta seventh with a triple to right-center just over the glove of Marlins right fielder Greg Dobbs. Heyward followed with a single to center off Wade LeBlanc (1-1) to give the Braves a 4-3 lead.

Heyward also had a sacrifice fly in the first inning before Miami took a 3-1 advantage on a first-inning single by Hanley Ramirez and a two-run homer in the second by Jose Reyes.

Freddie Freeman drew a bases-loaded walk in the third against Marlins starter Mark Buehrle to pull the Braves within a run before Prado tied the game in the fourth with a sacrifice fly to center.

Buehrle allowed three runs (two earned) and five hits in five innings. He struck out four and walked four.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Atlanta’s proposal to land Ryan Dempster is on hold as the Chicago Cubs RHP weighs whether to accept the deal. … Reyes went 2-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to 12 games. … Heyward had just one RBI in his previous eight games. … Ramirez went 1-for-4 after missing four straight starts with a hand injury.
