Recap
METS 4, BRAVES 2: Lucas Duda belted a pair of solo home runs and David Wright had three hits and a solo shot as host New York won for the second time in as many games.
Duda had his first career multi-homer game to back six solid innings from Mets starter R.A. Dickey (1-0), who allowed two runs on five hits while walking four and striking out three.
Frank Francisco worked around a pair of hits in the ninth to secure his second save and cap three scoreless innings from New York's bullpen.
Martin Prado supplied all of Atlanta's offense with a two-run homer in the fifth inning off Dickey. The Braves were shut out by the Mets 1-0 in Thursday's season opener.
Wright staked the Mets to a 1-0 lead with a solo shot off Jair Jurrjens (0-1) in the first inning and Duda went deep in the bottom of the fourth to double the advantage.
Dickey gave it back in Atlanta's next at-bat, issuing a two-out walk to Michael Bourn before Prado lined a homer into the seats in left to tie it at 2-2.
Josh Thole put New York back in front with a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the fifth off Livan Hernandez, who was making his second career relief appearance.
Duda added an insurance run with his second blast in the seventh inning off Chad Durbin.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Jurrjens was charged with three runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings. ... The Mets finalized left-hander Jon Niese's five-year contract on Saturday. The deal is worth $25.5 million and includes two club options. Niese, 25, was 11-11 with a 4.40 ERA last year. ... Jurrjens had allowed only one homer - to Wright - to the Mets in 13 previous starts. He surrended nine homers in his final nine starts in 2011, including three in his last outing. ... Hernandez's only other relief appearance came in his major league debut in 1996.
