Recap

Mariners 4, Blue Jays 3: Kyle Seager had three hits, including a homer, and Erasmo Ramirez picked up his first major-league victory as visiting Seattle snapped Toronto’s four-game winning streak.

Seager got the Mariners started with a first-inning single and he belted a solo homer in the fourth to help Seattle win for just the second time in six games.

Five relievers protected the lead with Tom Wilhelmsen recording the final three outs for his 25th save in 28 opportunities.

Ramirez (1-2) allowed two runs and six hits in seven innings. He struck out six and walked one to lift Seattle to its 68th win, surpassing last year's total.

The Mariners had four hits in the opening inning against Brandon Morrow (8-6) en route to taking a 2-0 lead. Michael Saunders joined Seager in having run-scoring singles in the first.

Toronto got on the board in the bottom of the first on a single by Yunel Escobar before Seattle pushed its lead back to two on John Jaso’s third-inning single.

The Blue Jays pulled within 3-2 in their half of the third on a sacrifice fly by Colby Rasmus.

Seager’s 18th homer of the season made it 4-2 before Toronto cut the margin back to one on an infield out in the eighth by Moises Sierra.

Morrow gave up four runs and 11 hits in 4 2/3 innings.
