Recap

Blue Jays 5, Athletics 2: Brandon Morrow struck out a season-high 10 batters in six innings to win his fourth straight start for visiting Toronto.

Adam Lind belted a two-run homer and J.P. Arencibia and Edwin Encarnacion clubbed solo shots to help the Blue Jays halt a three-game losing streak.

Morrow (4-1) allowed only one run on four hits and four walks to improve to 4-0 lifetime against Oakland, which had its three-game winning streak snapped.

Casey Janssen, elevated to the closer's role after Tuesday's meltdown by Francisco Cordero, pitched a perfect ninth to earn his first save since Aug. 21, 2011 - also against the Athletics.

Tyson Ross (1-3), moved up in the rotation due to scheduled starter Brandon McCarthy's ailing shoulder, suffered his third straight defeat. He allowed three runs on five hits in 5 2/3 innings.

Lind, who entered the game batting .186, broke a scoreless tie with his third homer, a two-out, two-run shot in the fourth.

Morrow gave up his only run in the fifth - issuing a pair of two-out walks before Jonny Gomes singled to cut the deficit in half - but the Jays got the run back in their next at-bat on back-to-back doubles by Brett Lawrie and Colby Rasmus.

Arencibia led off the seventh with a solo blast and Encarnacion swatted his 10th in the eighth to help Toronto bounce back from blowing a ninth-inning lead Tuesday night.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Morrow had his scoreless streak snapped at 24 1/3 innings after giving up Gomes' RBI single. ... Oakland CF Yoenis Cespedes was out of the lineup after injuring his hand during batting practice Tuesday night. He underwent X-rays before Wednesday's game. ...
