Recap
Rays 4, Mariners 3: Jeff Keppinger and Desmond Jennings each drove in a pair of runs as host Tampa Bay held on to cap a four-game sweep.
The Rays took a 4-2 lead after scoring four runs in the second against Kevin Millwood (0-3). Keppinger tied the game with a two-run homer, and Jennings put Tampa Bay on top later in the frame with a two-run triple to right-center field.
Jeff Niemann (2-3) got the win, allowing three runs on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings with five strikeouts and two walks. Jake McGee pitched 2 1/3 innings of perfect relief to hold the lead for Fernando Rodney, who earned his ninth save despite an error that put the tying run on base with nobody out.
Seattle, which had drawn first blood with a pair of runs in the top of the second, got an RBI double from Ichiro Suzuki in the fifth inning to make it a one-run game.
Justin Smoak had an RBI single for the Mariners.
Millwood gave up four runs on seven hits in 6 1/3 innings, walking two and striking out four.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Seattle lost the final six games of its 10-game road trip after winning the first four ... Tampa Bay improved to 12-1 at Tropicana Field, the best home mark in the major leagues.
