Red Sox 10, White Sox 3:
Kevin Youkilis hit a grand slam and Jarrod Saltalamacchia homered twice against Philip Humber as Boston cruised to its fourth consecutive road win.

After jumping on top in the first inning on an RBI double by Alex Gonzalez and a run-scoring single by David Ortiz, the Red Sox took command with a five-run third. Youkilis did the bulk of the damage with a one-out, bases-loaded shot to right, and Saltalamacchia followed with a solo shot that stretched the visitors’ lead to 7-1.

Chicago crept back to within four when Dayan Viciedo hit a solo homer to left-center field in the fourth inning against Boston starter Felix Doubront (1-0), but Saltalamacchia answered back with a two-run blast to left in the fifth. Ryan Sweeney closed the scoring for Boston with a ninth-inning RBI single.

Humber (1-1), who had pitched a perfect game at Seattle in his last start, was tagged for nine runs on eight hits and three walks in five innings.

Doubront earned his first major-league win since 2010, allowing three runs on five hits over six innings. He finished with two strikeouts and three walks. Junichi Tazawa turned in three innings of scoreless relief to finish it for the Red Sox.

A.J. Pierzynski and Paul Konerko each drove in a run for the White Sox ... The nine runs allowed by Humber were the most ever by a pitcher in his next start after a perfect game ... The Red Sox announced earlier in the day that injured LF Carl Crawford, already on the disabled list with a sore wrist, will miss three months with a sprained ligament in his left elbow ... Of the 14 pitchers to throw a perfect game or no-hitter since 2008, Humber is the ninth to have his team lose his next start.
