Recap

Blue Jays 6, Orioles 4: Adeiny Hechavarria drove in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning and Rajai Davis finished with three RBIs as host Toronto ended a four-game losing skid.

With the score tied 2-2, Hechavarria laid down a perfect safety squeeze that turned into an RBI single, scoring Yunel Escobar. Davis followed with a two-run single to make it 5-2, and a sixth run came around to score on Adam Jones' fielding error.

Davis added a solo home run in the third inning, his career-best seventh of the season, while Kelly Johnson added a run-scoring double.

Reliever Steve Delabar (4-1) earned the win with a scoreless seventh inning in support of Toronto starter Brandon Morrow, who scattered two runs on three hits over six strong frames.

Rookie counterpart Miguel Gonzalez (6-4) was tagged for five runs - four earned - on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings as the Orioles dropped a game back of new York atop the American League East. The Yankees defeated Tampa Bay 8-6 later Wednesday, allowing Baltimore to remain 1 1/2 games up on the Rays for the second AL wild card.

Adam Jones hit his 27th home run in the second inning and red-hot Mark Reynolds added a two-run shot in the ninth for the Orioles, who had shut out Toronto in back-to-back games to open the three-game set.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Hechavarria has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games, raising his average 73 points to .229. ...  Reynolds has six home runs and 13 RBIs over his last six contests. ... Blue Jays OF Anthony Gose singled and tripled for his first multi-hit game in exactly a month. ... Baltimore fell to 19-7 this season when Jones goes deep.
