Recap

Angels 7, Orioles 3: Los Angeles hit a season-high four home runs, including a two-run shot by Albert Pujols, and C.J. Wilson silenced host Baltimore with seven strong innings.

Wilson (9-4) allowed six hits and walked a pair for Los Angeles, which outhit the Orioles 17-7 and improved to 12-1 in its last 13 road games.

Torii Hunter gave the Angels an early lead with his RBI single in the first off Brian Matusz (5-9), who lost his fourth consecutive start.

After going hitless in three games against Baltimore in Anaheim in April, Pujols had two extra-base hits in his first-ever game at Camden Yards.

Pujols put the Angels up 3-0 with a two-run blast in the fifth off Matusz, who allowed five runs on a career-high 13 hits over five innings.

Peter Bourjos knocked Matusz out of the game with his two-run homer in the sixth and the Angels added to their lead on solo homers by Mark Trumbo and John Hester late in the game.

The Orioles scored all their runs on home runs, a solo shot by Steve Pearce in the fifth and Wilson Betemit’s two-run blast in the eighth.

Baltimore has totaled 11 runs in losing five of their last seven games.
