Recap

Angels 6, Orioles 3: Howard Kendrick drove in three runs and Jerome Williams pitched into the seventh inning as host Los Angeles snapped a three-game losing streak.

Kendrick doubled with the bases loaded and no outs to drive in two runs and Erick Aybar came around to score on center fielder Adam Jones' throwing error as the Angels took a 6-1 lead. Kendrick also had an RBI single in the second to put Los Angeles ahead 3-0.

Nolan Reimold had three hits, including a two-run homer to chase Williams and draw the Orioles to within 6-3.

Williams (1-0) pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed three runs, seven hits and struck out six.

LaTroy Hawkins, Scott Downs and Jordan Walden provided 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief, with Walden working around a leadoff walk in the ninth to record his first save in his first opportunity.

Baltimore's Brian Matusz (0-3) allowed six runs (four earned) and eight hits in five innings.

The Angels jumped on top 2-0 after Torii Hunter and Mark Trumbo produced RBI doubles in the first inning.

J.J. Hardy's run-scoring single in the third brought the Orioles to within 3-1.
