Tim Lincecum continued his dominance of the Oakland Athletics with a two-hitter to lead the host San Francisco Giants to a 3-0 victory on Saturday.
Lincecum (4-4), who improved to 5-0 with three complete games in six career starts
against the Athletics, retired 21 straight batters and struck out six among his 133 pitches as the Giants won their fourth straight. He struck out Daric Barton and Ryan Sweeney to end the
game.
Buster Posey’s run-scoring groundout gave the Giants the lead in the first inning, and San Francisco finished the scoring in the eighth on a single by Cody Ross and a sacrifice fly by Miguel Tejada.
Lincecum allowed a single to Sweeney with two outs in the first and a two-out single to Landon Powell in the eighth. He did not walk a batter.
Athletics starter Brett Anderson (2-4) gave up one run, five hits and struck out five over five innings.
