Recap

Ryan Roberts hit a leadoff home run and Daniel Hudson combined with three relievers on a four-hitter as the National League West-leading Arizona Diamondbacks extended their winning streak to seven games Monday with a 5-1 home triumph over the Colorado Rockies.

Colorado's Carlos Gonzalez went 0-for-3 with a walk, ending his hitting streak at 15 games.

Paul Goldschmidt had two hits and an RBI for the Diamondbacks, who moved five games ahead of San Francisco in the NL West. Arizona has allowed a total of six runs during its winning streak.

Hudson (14-9) yielded singles in the first, second and fourth innings while striking out eight en route to his first win in four career meetings with Colorado. The righthander also chipped in offensively, delivering an RBI single in the sixth that capped a four-run rally and gave Arizona a 5-0 lead.

J.J. Putz hit Chris Iannetta with the bases loaded before recording the final two outs for his 34th save in 38 opportunities.

Roberts deposited the third pitch of the game by Alex White (0-1) over the left field wall for his 17th blast of the year.

The Rockies have lost seven of their last nine road games.
