Recap
Casey McGehee launched a towering two-run homer as the visiting Brewers resumed their domination of the Pirates with a 11-4 win Tuesday.
It was Milwaukee’s 14th win in 15 tries against Pittsburgh, which won the nightcap of Monday’s doubleheader.
The Brewers moved 10 games ahead of St. Louis in the National League Central.
Spot starter Marco Estrada (4-8) went seven innings for the win. McGehee’s blast punctuated a seven-run second in which 11 Brewers batted and Pirates catcher Ryan Doumit made a throwing error.
Slugger Ryan Braun had two doubles, two runs scored, two RBIs and two steals for the Brewers, who are 45-11 against the Pirates since 2008.
Pirates All-Star Andrew McCutchen went 1-for-4 and is now 6-for-55 (.109) in his last 16 games against Milwaukee.
