Recap
Prince Fielder drove in four runs on three doubles and Chris Narveson pitched seven shutout innings to lead the host Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-0 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Saturday.
Narveson (1-0), who scattered six hits, struck out nine and walked one, has pitched 13 scoreless innings this season.
The Brewers jumped on Chicago starter Matt Garza (0-1) early and took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on RBI doubles by Ryan Braun and Fielder. Two innings later, Fielder drove home a pair of runs with another two-bagger, and he added a third RBI double in the fifth to make it 5-0.
Milwaukee (4-5) added another run in the eighth inning when Nyjer Morgan drew a bases-loaded walk against Jeff Samardzija.
Garza struck out eight for Chicago (4-4), but lasted only 5 2/3 innings and allowed five runs, eight hits and three walks.
