Recap

Jose Reyes' major league-leading 11th triple drove in the go-ahead runs in the seventh inning and the New York Mets held on for a 2-1 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday at Miller Park.

Reyes' triple off Marco Estrada (1-3) got over center fielder Carlos Gomez's head and caromed off the wall toward left field, allowing Josh Thole and Jason Pridie to score easily.

Reyes extended his hitting streak to 11 games – he's hitting .458 (22-for-48) during that stretch – but had his streak of nine consecutive games scoring a run snapped.

The rally spoiled a strong start from Shaun Marcum, who worked around four walks in six scoreless innings, and made a winner out of Chris Capuano.

Capuano (4-6), who pitched for the Brewers the past five seasons, struck out five over six innings.

Prince Fielder hit his team-leading 15th home run in the sixth to give Milwaukee a 1-0 lead. The Brewers have hit at least one home run in 12 of their past 13 games.

The Brewers entered with an NL-best 21-7 home record and had won 11 of 12 at Miller Park.
