B.J. Upton belted his second solo home run in two nights and Evan Longoria had a pair of RBI doubles as the visiting Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Houston Astros 7-2 Saturday night for their seventh victory in eight games.
 
Upton also had an RBI single in the third for a 3-0 lead and thwarted a rally with a diving catch in center field in the fifth. He has six RBIs in his last five games.
 
Wade Davis (7-5) earned his third straight win, allowing five hits and one run over seven innings. Houston loaded the bases with two outs in the sixth, but Davis retired Brett Wallace on a ground out to end the threat.
 
Hunter Pence’s RBI double in the eighth pulled Houston within 4-2, but Kyle Farnsworth pitched 1 2/3 innings for his 16th save.
 
Longoria lined his second RBI double and Casey Kotchman followed with a two-run single in the ninth for Tampa Bay.
 
Losing pitcher Bud Norris (4-6) allowed a run in each of the first three innings.
 
Johnny Damon broke an 0-for-12 slump with a two-out RBI single in the second inning for the Rays. The hit was Damon’s 2,647th of his career, moving him past Jimmie Foxx into 72nd on the all-time list.
