Robinson Cano hit a three-run homer and Eric Chavez added a two-run shot as the New York Yankees used another fast start to notch their sixth straight win, an 18-7 rout of the host Chicago White Sox on Wednesday.
Derek Jeter had his fourth career five-hit game to move into 23rd on the career hit list, and Curtis Granderson and Mark Teixeira each ripped two-run triples to help the Yankees build a 13-1 lead after three innings.
New York has outscored its opponents 38-3 in the first three innings during the winning streak.
Granderson had four hits and five RBIs, and Cano, Granderson and Chavez each collected three hits and four RBIs.
