Jose Contreras (3-3) was saddled with the loss after permitting three runs and two hits in one-third of an inning.
Dane Sardinha belted a solo homer, Greg Dobbs had an RBI double and Raul Ibanez added a run-scoring single for Philadelphia (42-38), which dropped four of its last five contests.
