Lions 36, Tiger-Cats 29: Kevin Glenn threw for 407 yards and a touchdown and Brandon Banks added a 97-yard punt return TD as host BC fended off Hamilton.

Glenn, making his final start for the foreseeable future, completed 22-of-36 passes to pace the Lions (4-3), who did just enough to secure their second consecutive win. Shawn Gore had five receptions for 117 yards while Emmanuel Arceneaux added four catches for 103 yards and a touchdown.

Dan LeFevour threw for 298 yards and ran for 103 more, but it wasn't enough to prevent a second straight loss for Hamilton (1-5). Samuel Giguere finished with 130 receiving yards for the Tiger-Cats, who racked up 15 penalties for a whopping 130 yards.

Already ahead 3-0, the Lions extended the lead when Arceneaux slipped past Hamilton defensive back Rico Murray and hauled in Glenn's 10-yard scoring pass eight minutes into the opening quarter. Glenn added to the onslaught with an 11-yard scoring run on the final play of the first quarter, but Hamilton stormed back in the second on Banks' punt-return score and three field goals from Justin Medlock to take a 19-17 lead into the half.

BC came out firing in the third, vaulting ahead on Paul McCallum's 47-yard field goal and extending the lead on Andrew Harris' four-yard TD scamper with 4:49 remaining. A pass interference penalty set up LeFevour's 1-yard scoring plunge near the end of the frame, but McCallum's 20-yarder with 2:32 left made it a four-point BC lead and he added a 42-yarder in the final seconds following a pivotal Hamilton two-and-out.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Harris (ankle) and S Dante Marsh (hamstring) both left in the third quarter and did not return. ... Glenn, who surpassed the 300-yard mark for the 40th time in his career, will likely be replaced next week by Travis Lulay, who has recovered from offseason shoulder surgery. ... Hamilton's loss dropped the East to 1-12 on the road for the season, with Toronto's 31-5 victory over Montreal on Aug. 1 the only win.
