Roughriders 30, Blue Bombers 24: Anthony Allen rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown as visiting Saskatchewan overcame the loss of Darian Durant to win its seventh straight game.

Durant was 8-for-9 passing for 77 yards before suffering an injury to his throwing arm in the third quarter and Tino Sunseri replaced him for the Roughriders (8-2), who scored 26 points in the second quarter. Rod Williams returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown and Weston Dressler scored on a punt return.

Drew Willy completed 26-of-38 passes for 360 yards and touchdowns to Rory Kohlert and Aaron Kelly for Winnipeg (6-5), which has lost four of its last five contests, including three against Saskatchewan. Kelly led all players with seven catches for 96 yards and Nic Grigsby added 66 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Weldon Brown blocked a field goal attempt by Lirim Hajrullahu and Williams returned it for a touchdown on the opening play of the second quarter. Allen rushed for a 13-yard score with 1:33 remaining in the first half and Dressler took a punt return 75 yards for a touchdown 55 seconds later to give the Roughriders a 27-8 lead and cap their most productive quarter of 2014.

Grigsby opened the scoring with a 12-yard run 13:03 into the first quarter. Willy found Kohlert for a 14-yard touchdown toss 2:53 into the third quarter and threw a 29-yard touchdown to Kelly with 2:27 left in the fourth quarter, but threw interceptions on Winnipeg’s final two possessions to end the game.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Saskatchewan DE John Chick recorded his league-leading 13th sack. … Dressler led Roughriders receivers with four catches for 40 yards. … Winnipeg’s defence allowed 196 rushing yards after allowing 186 and 160 in its first two games against Saskatchewan.
