Covers Mobilebeta - How To Operate

Navigation

  1. Launch the application. Note: Most devices save the application under the ‘Applications’ menu in your phone or PDA. You may also find it in the ‘Downloads’ menu. It’s called ‘Covers Mobile’.
  2. You will be asked to enter your phone number (only when you launch this application the first time). Enter all digits including your area code. Note: Covers Media Group Inc will never contact you on your wireless phone; this is used to customize your scores feed.
  3. Click the ‘0’ key to display the Main Menu. Here you can select your options, including Live Odds, Live Scores, Free Picks, Top Trends, Consensus, Headlines, My Settings, or My Scores.
  4. When navigating through a large list of items, it may continue on to the next screen. Simply continue pressing the Up or Down button to move to that next screen.
  5. By default, use the ‘0’ key to display or close the Menu. Then use the Up or Down keys to navigate between the options. Press select key or ‘5’ key to enter menu item or sub menu item. Press ‘0’ to exit the menu.
  6. By default the ‘9’ key is used to go back a screen in the menu.
  7. By default the ‘#’ key is used to call up a calendar. Here you can select which day you would like to see the scores for. Any days in the future will show schedules and odds (if available). Days in the past will display past scores.
  8. Help with navigation can be opened or closed by pressing the ‘1’ key.

Modify Settings

The first thing you may want to do is edit the settings to change the refresh rate for your updates. By default the refresh is set to Manual and you must manually press the designated key to refresh the scores. By default this key is ‘5’.

  1. Navigate to My Settings using the Up and Down keypad.
  2. Scroll to the Refresh Rate option. Using the left and right keypad you can adjust the rate from manual to automatic updates.
  3. Exit by selecting Exit Settings

Live Odds

  1. Select the Live Odds menu option. You will see a screen with the various leagues listed. Navigate to the league you’re interested in and select it. Then select the matchup you would like to view. Note: Only Leagues that have odds or scores available will be seen in the submenu.
  2. Press ‘0’ key to return to menu and select a different matchup, or press the ‘9’ key to go back and select a different sport.

Live Scores

  1. Select the Live Scores menu option. You will see a screen with the various leagues listed. Navigate to the league you’re interested in and select it. Note: Only leagues that have odds or scores available will be seen in the submenu.
  2. Select the game you prefer and hit select to view the score or start time.
  3. To view another game, press the ‘0’ key and select another game or press the ‘9’ key to go back and select a different sport.
  4. You can also select specific games to be listed in your My Scores section. Simply navigate to the appropriate game and use the ‘*’ (Star) key to select it. It will now be highlighted with a green circle. Use the ‘*’ (Star) key again to de-select the game.

My Scores

  1. Navigate to the My Scores option on the menu and press select. All custom games are listed here.
  2. Navigate to the desired game and select it. You can then see the score (updated as per your preferences in the Settings).
  3. You can de-select games in your list by navigating to the desired game and selecting the ‘*’ (Star) button. Games can also be added by selecting this button while in the Live Odds or Live Scores section of the program.

Free Picks

  1. Select the Free Picks menu option. You will see a screen with a list of expert handicapper names from experts.covers.com. Experts with free picks available will appear in white. Experts with no free pick available appear in grey.
  2. Move up or down to navigate to the expert’s name you would like to select. Then select the expert’s name to view their free advice. This includes matchup and time, the sport, the pick, a recommended line and sportsbook as well as the complete analysis from the expert..
  3. Press ‘0’ key to return to menu and select a different free pick, or press the ‘9’ key to go back to the main menu.

Top Trends

  1. Select the Top Trends menu option. You will see a screen with the various leagues listed. Navigate to the league you’re interested in and select it. Note: Only leagues with trends available will be seen in the submenu.
  2. Navigate to the desired game and select it.
  3. Use the up and down keypad to view all of the current top trends for this game as featured on Covers.com.
  4. To view another game, press the ‘0’ key and select another game or press the ‘9’ key to go back and select a different league.

Consensus

  1. Select the Consensus menu option. You will see a screen with the various leagues listed . Navigate to the league you’re interested in and select it. Note: Only leagues with consensus information available will be seen in the submenu.
  2. Navigate to the desired game and select it.
  3. Use the up and down keypad to view the up-to-date consensus for this game as featured on Covers Contests.
  4. To view another game, press the ‘0’ key and select another game or press the ‘9’ key to go back and select a different league.

    5. Note: Only matchups with a consensus of 67% or greater will be displayed.

Headlines

  1. Select the Headlines menu option. You will see a screen with the various leagues listed, as well as ‘Top Headlines’, which includes all of the up-to-date top sports headlines. Navigate to the league you’re interested in and select it.
  2. Within each league you'll receive all of the current headlines for the sport. Use the up and down keypad to scroll through the headlines.
  3. Navigate to a desired headline and press select.
  4. Use the up and down keypad to read the full story.
  5. To view another headline, press the ‘0’ key and select another headline or press the ‘9’ key to go back and select a different league.
