An update from a die hard Husky fan: The plane left around 615p PT, about 6 hours late. You can track the flight here:

NCAA rules allow a team only 60 hours for a trip like this. They chose to add time on the end (Sunday, with a return Monday) so the players can have some R&R. Still, I would have left Thursday for the team to adjust to the time zone (game will end around midnight PT) & cushion any delays like this.

I just did that trip... Took me a full day to acclimate to the time change (4 Time Zones for me)... Not saying that all of the players will be affected but you sure as hell don't get a comfortable sleeping on the plane.

one plus is UW won't have more time for distractions in Hawaii. Lets face it. this is a vacation for them. ending your season in Hawaii is not a smart move football wise. Hawaii crushes here, and jumps out to a quick start and never looks back

It is currently raining cats and dogs right now (10:15 Hawaii time), not to sure on the weather conditions for the game but, all week has been the same.

This Hawaii time zone thing is such mental bogus. Fortunately for Hawaii, it works but it's usually against weak opponents. You will never convince me that this time zone change seriously affects 18 - 22 year old kids. I traveled to Germany when I was 21 and I was absolutely, 100% fine within the 1st day that I got there. I had no problems whatsoever. I also traveled to Germany when I was 27 and I had mild problems getting used to the time changes, but not a big issue. This time zone junk cannot be physically affecting these kids. I can agree that it mentally affects these kids though, and I guess that is all that matters. I have stated this one time before on this site but here goes again: It's the same type of situation the Miami had when they ran off 10 YEARS of going undefeated in the Orange Bowl. This included beating the # 1 team in the Country a number of times, which is a far cry from who/what Hawaii plays, and also beating a number of top 10 teams. In some cases, Miami's opponents were more talented and a better team but the mentality of losing before they ever stepped foot into the Orange Bowl was what crushed teams. Ironically, it was a Washington team that finally beat Miami at home who ended their home game winning streak, that will most likely never be broken. A lot of times mental weakness is worse than physical weakness. And there is no doubt in my mind that a strong minded team can beat Hawaii at their place. I'm wondering when the last time was in which they played a top 10 team at Hawaii?? Anyway, I believe that Washington is the more talented of the two teams. The question is, are they mentally strong enough to overcome this time zone change b.s.

Oh no!!! Rumor has it that one of the Huskies backup place kick holders great aunt just traveled to Iowa to visit her nephew, however the airline she flew on only served peanuts and ginger ale... this could spell trouble.
This kind of travesty will certainly throw a D1 college football team off and I don't think there is anyway they can rebound from this. Hawaii should win by 72. Go Rainbow Warriors!!!! Put your life savings and every investment you own on Hawaii!!! This is a great aunt we are talking about here people!!

Warriors got ALOT more to play for then the Huskies. BCS bid, farewell game for Colt, and RESPECT from the doubters due to a weak schedule. Those kids put there heart and soul into this season and won't let up for this game. They all know what is at stake here and will definetly give it there 110%!
GL on whichever side you play but, I got Warriors first and second half tomorrow!

Washington has nothing to play for? Interesting. Hawaii is finally playing their first decent home team this year. I suppose i can give Hawaii a tiny speck of respect if they beat a young up and down Washington team. Should they be a BCS team though? Nope. Not with that schedule. Anyway, I can see why the plane information is legit information. I wouldn't make fun of it and totally disregard it. Besides, he was trying to help out with the information, which is something I really appreciate. That being said, I'm laying off the game tomorrow because Washington is too inconsistent. However, if I was forced to play a side, I would have to roll with Washington. They are the first somewhat legit team Hawaii is facing this year and they just have more talent.
Colt Brennan?? Big friggin deal. Just another Hawaii QB who won't be worth a shit in the NFL. Sorry Colt, but NFL teams actually play rather competitive schedules and have something called 'parity'. Plus, they don't throw the ball 60 times per game. Seriously, you average 10 yards per completion (let's say 40 for 60) vs. crappy competition, you are averaging 400 yards per game in passing.

I think that time difference makes some difference, but I think being on a plane for 6 hours then playing the next day may have some effect...
The disadvantage for the visitors in travel involved going east from the west coast and playing the morning game...or in this case a team flying west and playing the late game...
Personally living in the pacific NW and originally from Hawaii I can say that probably the biggest adjustment factor is adjustment is humidity...
It has been pretty cold like under 40 degrees and therefore alot of time indoors and around heaters which makes things dry...
unfortunately the rain in hawaii might make the humidity easier to deal with for UW...
