O.K. here we go... Thinking the line is LSU + 6 and I am taking it. LSU will be well rested, at home and have 2 weeks to get young Mettenberger ready for this tough bama d. He had some nice passes last week against A &M but the wind carried them.
That being said I cannot see LSU letting bama run away with this at home, it just will not happen. I see something like when we beat them in Alabama, a low scoring game.

This is setting up to be one of the best victories in DEATH VALLEY "where opponents dreams come to die." GLTA
I thought I was the homer here. LOL You are way more optimistic than I am. I don't see LSU being able to score more than FG or two against the #1 defense in the country! Saban has destroyed everyone he's faced so for this season, granted this will be the best defense he has seen! I have no confidence in Miles, he's hard headed and has no imagination at all! Mettenberger has shown little to nothing, like you say he did a little @ AM but that won't be near enough, in my opinion!

Most any other time, I'd agree with you buyu, but this years Alabama team is not only talented, physical and fast, but they simply play better fundamental and disciplined football than the rest of us. They convert 3rd downs when they should and need to on offense. On defense, they tackle the old fashioned way by wrapping up from the waist down rather than this new, hope I make ESPN, chest thump and hope they go down thing they call tackling today. I know this sounds like I'm a beat writer from Tuscaloosa, but I just appreciate it when I see any team that knows how to play the game, keep their composure and play as a unit.
I will be pulling for the Tigers, but I just don't know how big of an advantage playing in death valley will be this year and I have been in Tiger Stadium, many times, at night. It is loud, very loud...just hope the Tigers can hang long enough for the crowd to be a factor. Maybe this will serve as a reverse bam and it will be LSU that plays the mistake free, good fundamental football Saturday night. Either way, it's going to take more than +7 for me to lay down any amount of cash. Maybe they will make the total a little too high and there will be a good under opportunity, but somehow I doubt it. Vegas knows all that we know about these two teams and much, much more. Go Tigers....give em hell and bring it Sat. night.

will LSU get some of there injured O-LINEMEN back coming off the bye week and has bama played any body with a stable of backs like hillard ,,ford,, and blue this season ...plus will the madhatter have a few trick plays up his sleeve coming off the bye week...like the tigerdozier...a lot of cappers though the headball coach ;s squad would win at night as a 2 point dog,, now the tigers are getting 9 1/2 points as a homedog.....

Brother, Blue has been out since the middle of Sept., and he's not going to return this season! And those offensive linemen you are talking about were horrible! The young studs in there now are blocking much better! Mettenburger and the Tigers offense will have to play much better to keep this one within 10 points in my opinion. LSU ranks 109 in passing! Mississippi State total offense ranks higher than LSU's, and is a lot more balanced, look what Bama's defense did to them!
1 bright spot, other than LSU's 3rd ranked defense, Jeremy Hill, he's a stud and getting more and more playing time.
If Mettenburger has time and his receivers don't drop to many, they could cover 10 points, maybe even have a shot at a SU win, but they will have to play lights out, and get some breaks and a few key turnovers.
I bleed purple and gold my Louisiana brethren, and I hate being this negative but I just don't see LSU with much of a shot to win this game even in "Deaf Valley".
Something you always have to remember my friend, Les Miles is a idiot, hard head and stubborn, he's a recruiter not an X's and O's kind of coach! For gods sake I've seem him run down the sideline grab a official by the arm and ask him how many time outs he had left! The kicker here, they were right there on the score board, and there was less than 45 seconds left oh the clock. I saw him looking at the clock a number of times, I honestly believe he didn't know they were posted on the score board. I could go on and on about what I've seen this man do at home games, take my word, he's an IDIOT!
UNDER will be worth looking at for us LSU bleeders!

After attending the LSU-Aggie game I can say the only way LSU hangs with Bama in this one is if Mettenberger spent the down time working on his throwing accuracy. The wind did not effect his passes against the Ags he is just that piss pour at long throws. Bama rolls here!

The play here is the Under 42pts. LSU will be lucky to score 11+. Who knows what Ala will do. They may score a couple of TDs or maybe kick a bunch of FGs like last regular season game.
A nasty Defense Vs a nasty Defense means this will be a low scoring affair.

I think that was a typo, you must have meant "LSU will be PIMPED".
I don't argue that the Tigahs will bring all they have Saturday night but that offense is just lousy. LSU has struggled all year and have had trouble moving the ball on everyone. No, it just ain't there, and if it wasn't there against weaker defenses, the O cannot find itself against Bama. They should just rely on straight ahead power runs and let Wing try to win the field position war. Defense should be able to contain bama's offense and keep it low scoring, but that is the best they can hope for. Bama wins, but may not cover. Liking the under best of all.
